Homework Week 9 – 10 (Due Thursday, 10th April)

Photo by Eunique Jones, via Buzzfeed. Find the Women’s History ones here.

Congrats on completing your first photo shoot. The results look amazing! I can’t wait for everyone to be sharing them on their blogs.

For our homework this week we are going to delve a little deeper into our Portrait of a Leader series. Using the leader that you posed as, do the following:

1. A short bio including where and when they were born, if they are no longer living how and when they died, their full (or real) name, their profession.

2. In your own words, what are they famous for?

3. In your opinion, what makes this person a leader/why do people look up to them?

4. From what you have read or watched about this person, what is one important thing you have learnt from them?

You may do this in your books or as a blog post. If it is a blog post I expect the same level of writing & detail as I would in your books. You can be creative in how you present it, include photos, videos and quotes where appropriate. You may answer it question by question or write it as a full piece of writing or post.

Portrait of a Leader

Here is the link to the Pinterest board with the photos of leaders you can chose from for our Portrait of a Leader photo shoot. You can click on them to make them bigger and if you click them again you will go to their Wikipedia page for more info.

Also, here is the link to the board of other people who have recreated famous images if you’re looking for some inspiration!

Remember, you’ll have Friday afternoon to plan your photo shoot. Have a think of a couple of leaders you would like to be because we will try to make sure there are no double ups and you may not get your first choice.
